Staphylococcus aureus
Staphylococcus aureus is one of the bacteria inhabiting the sinus cavity.
This type of suppurative micro-organism is
famously noted as a cause of acute and chronic sinusitis. When a person
catches a cold or flu, the bacteria will start infecting at any wounds within
the mucous membrane. Then the bacteria will secrete bacterial toxins to the
damaged mucous membranes, causing inflammation. The bacteria can be found even
in a healthy nasal cavity. Penicillin works well to treat this type of
bacteria.
The
existence of Methicillin-resistant
Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)
in the blood is a sign that if the gauze remedy is working or not.
If you already
have chronic sinus condition, you should take extra care not to
catch cold, to prevent from worsening the condition. A healthier mucous
membrane is vital to the healthy sinus condition.
