Nasal Inflammations

CONTENTS

The symptoms of acute and chronic rhinitis

The following symptoms do not necessarily occur separately, but rather often occur concurrently.
Except for the allergies, most of the symptoms mentioned here are bacterial infections in the nasal
mucous membranes.     The main pathogens are suppurative microorganisms such as staphylococcus aureus
and haemolytic streptococci. These bacteria often onset from a cold or flu.

Nasal drip: An excess of watery mucous comes from excretory cells following a bacterial sinus infection and
inflammation, a cold and in rare cases they cause allergy or chemical reaction. The most common cause is bacterial
infection of flu and/or colds. Although the mucous discharge is watery at first, as the symptoms persist it becomes
sticky and green, showing signs of bacterial sinusitis. When the watery mucous drips onto the throat it is referred to
as post nasal drip.

Allergic rhinitis: Whatever the cause of the allergy is, if the watery mucous discharge persists over a long period
of time the affected area becomes infected by bacteria. The symptoms are similar to bacterial inflammation;
sticky mucous, post nasal drip, bad smell, green mucous and so on.

Nasal blockage /  obstruction / congestion: Pus and sticky mucus block the nasal cavity. Even if the patient
tries to blow the nose, they cannot remove the sticky mucus from the nasal cavity. This often develops to empyema,
with some difficulty in breathing through the nose.

Ozena (odour of nose): The sticky mucus, pus, abscess and blood bind together creating a condition called empyema,
producing a bad smell. Often the infected and inflamed area is located at the deep end of the sinus cavity. Persistent
treatment is required to cure the inflammation, to eradicate the pus and prevent the treated area from producing pus.

Pollen allergy, sensitive mucous membrane: The patient may have genetic allergic tendency to react to pollens,
but often the direct cause of the symptoms is chronic sinus inflammation stemming from flu or a cold. Once the
inflammation is properly treated, most of the pollen allergy symptoms will disappear. Use the gauze remedy and
   nebulizer for a treatment.

Migraine, pain in the face and nasal membrane: The sinus inflammation may be one of the causes.
Use the Gauze Remedy and nebulizer for a treatment.

Area of Treatment

f you cannot smell things the air passage from your nose opening to the olfactory nerves is probably blocked due to the membrane thickness.

A: Olfactory Nerves
B: Superior Turbinate

C: Middle Turbinate

D: Inferior Turbinate

E: Middle Meatus

F: Inferior Meatus

Area G:
Inflammation here causes headaches.
Area H:
Inflammation in this area causes postnasal drips.
Area I:
The opening of the paranasal sinus is up here
Crevice
J:
In advanced cases blood and pus accumulates up here.

The inflamed membranes of areas C and D thicken and harden so much that it becomes an obstacle to the gauze insertion for treatment.

Inflammation Zones

Persistent wet cough / Postnasal drip
If you are troubled with constant phlegm or a wet cough, your inflammation can be at any part of this zone. When the inflammation is effectively treated with medicated gauze, the post nasal drip or phlegm will be reduced and the cough will gradually cease. The longer the symptom has been left untreated, the longer the healing will take.

Headache
If you are troubled with constant or sporadic headaches, your inflammation can be at any part of this zone. Once the inflammation is effectively treated with medicated gauze, the pain will be reduced or stopped. To  reach the superior and middle conchae, repeated treatments are required as many layers of inflamed membrane need to be healed.

Losing sense of smell
If your sense of smell is diminished, your inflammation can be found at any part of this zone. Treat the inflammation with properly medicated gauze, and your sense of smell will be recovered. The treatment will undo the clogging which narrowed the nasal cavity. It will require patience and perseverance, but the result is guaranteed by the users who have completed the right treatment.
